Who said that art was boring? What if street art had much to say about old masterpieces?
This is the challenge of this book: discover or rediscover history of art through works created today on the street.
In each double-spread, a surprising face-to-face: a full-page reproduction of a street art work. Once the flap rose, we discover the confrontation with the original work.
Recreating Mona Lisa in a multicolored version and on a 20-storey building, why does it make sense today? 20 masterpieces of history of art (Leonardo da Vinci, Brueghel, Caravaggio, Rodin, Matisse, Picasso…) are revisited, while discovering the great names of street art today (Banksy, JR, Invader ...).
