Every morning, Black Bear walks past an old well. One day, he decides to look inside. He places a big rock in a bucket and lowers it into the well. When Black Bear brings up the bucket, he finds... apples. And the next day, flowers! What will he find in the following days? A surprising story with a lovely ending.

 

 

 

Nadine Robert is a Canadian author and editor. She started her career designing video games before becoming a scriptwriter for animated films. She went on to set up the publishing houses Comme des géants and Le Lièvre de Mars. Illustrated books have always held a special place in her heart. She holds degrees in education and literature and has translated several children’s books. She lives in Montreal’s South Shore with her family.

 

After studying photography at the Cégep du Vieux-Montréal, Brigitte Henry created her Waterproof, portrait sous l’eau photographic project, which won her numerous awards and was released by L'effet pourpre. She was artistic director and director of photography (miniatures) for the movie Higglety Pigglety Pop!, that was directed by Chris Lavis and Maciek Szczerbowski (NFB, 2009).
